I have tutored Vietnamese immigrants in English, sixth graders in Social Studies and Mathematics, and spent two months volunteering as a teachers assistant for the second and third grade on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota. I spent 6 months in China becoming fluent in Chinese, and am qualified to teach beginners Chinese to those interested in learning the language. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of History and Anthropology, so if you're an adult wanting to know more about US History or if your child is learning Social Studies and you want to supplement, I'd be interested in either. I want to be a tutor because, having worked for the school system, I feel a great deal is lacking in terms of a proper understanding of World history and politics. Although it says 30 an hour, I'm willing to negotiate.
