Private tutor in Sacramento, CA
Education
AA in Interdisciplinary Studies (focus in Psychology); BA in Government from CSUS; 3.2 GPA
Experience
I've worked in government (primarily working on legislation/ in press, and, for the most part, at the Capitol) for over a year now. I spent quite a bit of time in college studying world history, psychology, design, and journalism before I decided to get my degree in government. I have spent considerable amounts of time working on issues related to education, environment, and agriculture. I am currently interning for a fairly prestigious office, because I am trying to learn as much as I possibly can, and from the best I might possibly be able to learn. Thus, I only work part time- leaving some room for time spent working elsewhere. I place a very high value on learning and personal growth, which is why I would like to help others, in that capacity, in the way that others have helped me. I have, as of now, been vetted for the Peace Corps for this upcoming year, wherein I would be working in the Adolescent Development and Education Sector. I can and may be teaching any combination of the subjects listed above. I was accepted into this program because, in addition to my formal education, I have an extensive background of volunteer and mentoring work within local elementary schools and charities.
