Heather is a published freelance writer who has been writing for over 15 years for various publications, journals, online magazines, magazines, and blogs. She is also a freelance editor, and has edited many works of fiction for published authors. She is a writer of middle grade fiction and had published a work of her own a few years ago and is always working on a new book. As of right now, she is working on a middle grade manuscript that she hopes to pitch to editors in the coming months. Writing and reading are the core of what she does. She went to school to become a writer and that's exactly what she's doing today. Being able to help others accomplish this same goal -- whether it's a high school essay or college paper, or even a manuscript -- is the best part of tutoring. She is able to help others become better writers and communicators and ultimately give back to the same community she grew up in, with these skills. When Heather isn't writing or reading, she is selling vintage clothing and runs her own business through Etsy, which was established in 2010.

Heather is a married mom to two boys, one of whom is in high school and the other in middle school. While teaching and tutoring is fairly new on the occupation side of things, she has been essentially tutoring her boys the last 15 years. when they need any extra help with their homework. She is also mom to a furry, happy, playful golden doodle named Sierra who lives a wonderful life amidst her "sibling" brothers. Heather was born and raised in Sacramento, California and considers herself a California girl at heart wherever she may roam. Heather loves all things vintage from clothing to furniture and books, she loves to do yoga, and loves anything Star Wars. She also loves coffee. All kinds. All the time.
