I was raised in Sacramento, which is where I completed my elementary, middle, and high school education. As someone who knows the area, I have an idea of what local students need to succeed - especially those from under-resourced schools. I've worked in education for some time, helping students prepare for tests and improve their understanding of various subjects. Along with tutoring students from elementary all the way to high school, I also taught biology to students in 7th grade. I believe that the most important component of being a good teacher is having an emotional investment in your students. I don't' simply want my students to do well on tests; I also want them to develop a love for education that helps them succeed in all parts of life. As a teacher, I work hard to come up with unique and creative ways to connect with my students. It's my goal to make the learning experience as enjoyable as possible, so that students always look forward to studying. I also believe that every person has their own preferred learning style, which is why I adjust my teaching methods to cater to the individual. When I'm not teaching, I love spending time outdoors, as well as reading and baking.
