Experience
I have spent over 10 years contributing my writing and editing skills to college publications and various organizations. I have years of experience in writing, editing, layout design and print/online content management. I began writing and designing for my high school newspaper when I was 14 years old – I am a few months shy of 24 now – and since then have consistently worked to continue developing my writing, editing and design skills by working for my community college newspaper (2 years) and continuing on to work for the Sacramento State Hornet newspaper (3 years). I have also contributed my skills (and learned many new ones) to several different organization including Slow Food Sacramento, The Shasta Historical Society, and Sacramento Farmers and Chefs. My writing has also been published in local Sacramento publications such as Sacramento News and Review and Edible Sacramento. Along with that, I am also a volunteer and advocate for Sacramento Reading Partners: an organization that strives to help children in underrepresented schools and neighborhoods reach their reading potentials.
