ExperienceI discovered my love for learning new things while attending Santa Clara University, where I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees. I'm certified as a substitute teacher in California, and run a payroll and tutoring business, which I started in 2012. I've completed training to teach standardized test prep, and enjoy helping high school students prep for the ACT and SAT. I pride myself on working with my students to help them become self-sufficient and confident learners so that they have the skills needed to succeed academically. I truly believe that my job as a tutor isn't complete until my students have the skills that they need to do their homework correctly, test well in the subject that they are studying, and exhibit sufficient knowledge in the studied subject. I tutor students in a wide variety of subjects, including elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra I, II, III, and IV, pre-calculus and calculus I, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, accounting, business, and finance. Additionally, I am available to tutor students in ACT-, SAT-, PSAT-, and graduate test-level mathematics, writing, reading, English, and science, and can help students study for standard GED testing. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my pre-teen daughter. I also spend a lot of time volunteering.
HobbiesOutside my work, I love to volunteer, travel, and enjoy life with my pre-teen daughter.
