I love to travel, especially to Disney destinations and throughout Europe. My favorite city is Florence, Italy. I enjoy Renaissance art, particularly the works of Michelangelo. I home schooled my children, two of whom are now in college; my youngest, diagnosed at age six with severe dyslexia, will graduate from high school in May of 2015 with a GPA of 3.4. I volunteer behind the scenes at Davis Musical Theater Company and enjoy reading, gardening, gourmet cooking and attending live performances. Subjects and grade levels in which I tutor: 1st - 3rd grade; all subjects. $20.00 per hour my home/$22.00 per hour your home. 4th grade - college; reading, writing, history; world and US, spelling, language, English, literature, test prep, study skills, US government. $22.00 per hour my home/$24.00 per hour your home. I also oversee home schooling students from K - 12th grade -- three hours per day, five days per week. I make the lesson plans, provide one-on-one instruction, create assignments, correct student work and reteach for mastery based on results. $175.00 per week, my home only. Two students per time slot. Consultation fee prior to start of school year $100.00 - this covers your expectations as well as mine, textbook selection and any needed student assessments. Parent provides all textbooks and school supplies. Summer instruction - remediation or advanced study in reading, writing and study skills. $20.00 per hour my home/$22.00 per hour your home. I am a reading specialist with the skills to make a real difference in students with dyslexia. Tutoring also available via SKYPE - all sessions and subject matter $20.00 per hour.
