Im working on my 4th year at Sacramento State, hoping to obtain a double major in civil engineering and business. In high school I was a peer tutor for 4th graders and kindER students. I most recently tutored K-11th Graders through the community college foundation. At the beginning of the tutoring program, I would give the student a test to see what grade level they tested at. Then I would pick a curriculum goal that would help them improve. From there I would develop different lesson plans, having to adjust to each childs different learning styles as they all learned differently. Finally, at the end of the program I would test then again to see how much they have improved. I love being a tutor because the feeling I get when I see how much the student has advanced is fulfilling. As well, I like the challenge at the beginning when I have to find a way to keep each child engaged with a desire to continue learning more and more. I feel very confident in tutoring in grades K-11th.
Availability
Weekends at any time, Mon/Wed/Fri after 3PM, Tues/Thurs after 7PM

Hobbies
I played soccer for 13 years, which included Elk Grove league, Land Park, Fruitridge, for a local church, and as well all my 4 years in Highschool. I know play on a women's league as well as a coed indoor league. I boxed for almost 3 years and dance ballet folklorico for 2 years. I was raised around the dance group being my aunts are the founders of it.
