Experience
Scored 4 on US History, English AP tests 158 on the LSAT Have not yet taken the CA Bar. Passed the MPRE ethics exam for practicing in CA Most of my classes in college focused on the development and application of reading/writing skills, such as the comprehension of material, critical thinking, and analysis. These skills served me well in law school and can be broadly applied to most courses which require the use of language. Although I don't have tutoring experience per se, I have taught new interns how to do their jobs during my time as an enforcement law clerk at the Fair Political Practices Commission and as a law clerk for California Lawyers for the Arts. I also spent time in study groups in law school, where we would constantly teach and learn from fellow students. I am also up to date on current teaching techniques due to my job as a student representative for Themis Bar Review company. I am an excellent tutor because I have the requisite skills and knowledge to break the material down into digestible lessons which do not overwhelm or bore my students. I am familiar with standardized testing and have been coached by professional companies to perfect my test scores. Most importantly, I enjoy watching students improve as they gain confidence to succeed in their endeavors. The material I can teach is not privileged knowledge that can only be understood by the few. The key is to find the perfect pace and mode of teaching for each student. My job is to find how to tailor the new material to the needs of every individual student.
