Experience
I have worked for the Twin Rivers Unified School district since 2012 in various positions, including para-educator, student support tutor, administrative clerk, and Spanish interpreter. I also spent a year working as a tutor for Achievement Matters, LLC and ABC Incorporated, Applied Behavioral Consultants. I have taught private music lessons for many years and this year have been given my own guitar class at WPCS Eastide Charter Secondary School in Sacramento. I truly enjoy tutoring and mentoring students of all ages. My early educators made an immense difference in my life and I feel like I am giving thanks to them by continuing their work through me. Soon I will be ready to enter into the certificated workforce of California teachers. Until then, I will continue doing what I am good at and what I love, educating.

Hobbies
I am a musician and lover of music. I have played for many groups throughout the years and have taught private lessons for several years. Just this year, I took on my own class of secondary guitar students at a Sacramento charter school and I adore it. I very much appreciate the connection between written music and general curriculum. I take this approach with many of my students and find that they do much better overall with their general classes. It is a very personally rewarding career and I look forward to many years of improving the lives of our youth.
